Credit Alert Test Results
If YOU Scored 12 points or less:
Chances are
you're doing an "excellent" job establishing and maintaining
your credit. You might want to order a credit report on yourself
just to make sure there are no reporting errors.
If YOU Scored 13-25
points:
You should
keep an eye on your finances and possibly cut back on your spending
until your situation improves. Order a credit report on yourself
to see how lenders view your particular situation. Then read
our section on Tips For Better
Borrowing.
If YOU Scored over 25 points:
In all likelihood,
you're probably experiencing some financial difficulty at this
time, and maybe even struggling to make ends meet. We strongly
suggest that you order a credit report on yourself right away
to see if there are any derogatory items being reported about
your credit situation. You may also want to contact your lenders
if you are late with your payments and find out about Credit
Counseling to help you regain control of your financial situation. This chart is for your information only.
It is intended to educate you about the importance of maintaining
your credit and to alert you to some of the early warning signs
of being overextended.
